Intel’s infamous Pentium processor got its start 20 years ago today with the release of the Pentium 60 CPU. That chip utilized Intel’s 5-volt Socket 4, was build on an 800-nanometer process and carried 3.1 million transistors. Outlook.com Hits 60 million users in six months

Last July Microsoft released a preview of Outlook.com, the company’s new web-based e-mail service designed to compete directly with Gmail. In the six months that have followed, 60 million people have signed up for Outlook.com according to a new post on the official Outlook Blog. Samsung's record quarter: $8.3 billion profit, 63 million phones sold

Samsung has announced its fifth consecutive record-breaking quarter driven by strong sales of Galaxy devices, improving chip prices and increased demand for smartphone displays. The South Korean company's operating profit rose a whopping 89 percent to 8.8 trillion won ($8.3 billion), on revenue of 56 trillion won ($52.87 billion) during the three months ended December.
