There are still a large numbers of people using Windows XP. A very frequent problem encountered by them is the error "Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." You can see a print screen of the error below.

Once the error pops up, you'r PC will not be able to perform come tasks, sometimes if will not allow you to save documents etc...

It is a pain to have this error multiplying itself, it will not disappear even if you click 'Dont Send' . If you keep working for a while leaving this error message open, then it starts to multiply. Most of the time it will not disappear unless you restart your computer

The cause of this error is a bug in Ms Windows, and Microsoft has created two patch files to solve the issue.

Download the patches using the below links and install them in your PC, then you're good to go!

Update 894391

and Update 921883

Update by Techdesk.info: 2012 October 30

Installing Windows XP Service Pack 3 will and must sort out this problem.

I you still get this even after installing SP3, then it is recommended to restore you PC to an earlier date because it may be caused by some other problem in your PC

Hi rolly444,

Did you install your service pack 3 to get rid of this error or have you being using it for sometime?

Actually Microsoft said that they fixed this problem with SP3.

Is it the 32bit version or the 64 bit that you are using?
