Gmail Offers 10 GB Free Mail Storage Now

To celebrate the launch of Google Drive, The Gmail Team also announced the increase of every Gmail user’s free storage in Gmail from 7.5 GB to 10 GB, and counting. The change has taken effect by now to almost all Gmail users.

If you haven’t signed up an account of it, the free 10 GB storage in email should convince you doing so by now. Having an extra email account with 10 GB free space as your email archive storage certainly won’t hurt.

All Google users get 5GB of Google Drive disk space for free, and you can pay for premium plans if you need more space than that.

But it seems a little silly that Google gives away twice as much free space for email alone. I might just keep emailing documents to myself as needed.

If you’re still not seeing 10GB in your Gmail inbox yet, just sit tight. Google says they’re rolling out the upgrade over the next 24 hours.
